About Mike
Mike Davis founded Terrapin Insurance Group in 2011 and serves as its principal owner and lead agent. A University of Maryland graduate and Montgomery County native, he built the agency in Rockville as an independent shop that works for the client rather than for any one insurance company.
As an independent agent, Mike shops the agency's 19+ carrier partners to place auto, home, life and business coverage for families and businesses across Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia. He is licensed as a producer in all three jurisdictions and leads the Terrapin team day to day.
Terrapin has grown largely by referral since 2011. Mike's approach is simple: know the client's house, cars, business and life well enough to give real advice, then find the carrier that fits the risk.
